The Acting Commander of 1 Brigade, Col Joseph Umaru, said the fight against terrorism, banditry, and other criminal activities requires a coordinated and whole-of-society approach involving the military, other security agencies, and responsible community stakeholders.
In a statement by the Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations for 1 Brigade Nigerian Army, Gusau, Captain Yusuf Mohammed said the commander ascertion during a strategic engagement at the Brigade Headquarters in Gusau.

Col Umaru expressed deep appreciation to the CJTF Commander and the over 400 personnel who assembled at the 1 Brigade headquarters in solidarity, commending their vital contributions to intelligence gathering and information sharing which remain critical to operational effectiveness.
He urged the Civilian Joint Taskforce (CJTF) to sustain its collaboration through community engagement and support for security operations, reaffirming the Brigade's commitment to maintaining open communication channels.

The visit featured a large turnout of more than 400 CJTF personnel from Gusau who reaffirmed their readiness to support military operations and restore lasting peace across Zamfara State.
CJTF Commander Alhaji Ahmad Mohammed assured the Brigade of continued cooperation, highlighting that close interactions with local communities place the volunteer force in a strategic position to provide timely and actionable intelligence to troops.

Both entities concluded that this strengthened partnership serves as a crucial force multiplier to deny criminal elements freedom of action and create a safer environment for law-abiding citizens.
