CPG Arrest Notorious Bandits, Doctor, Informants, Collaborators in Zamfara 

The Zamfara State Community Protection Guards, known as Askarawa, have paraded nine suspects in Gusau, including active bandits, informants, logistics suppliers, and a fake legal practitioner, following extensive security operations across the state.

Parading the suspects, the Commandant of the CPG, retired Assistant Inspector General of Police Shehu Dalijan, disclosed that the arrests followed detailed confessions from individuals embedded within various criminal camps. Among them is twenty-year-old Abubakar Malan Ori, who confessed to spending months with the camp of bandit kingpin Kachalla Gwaska, participating in operations across Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger states, and the Niger Republic, while revealing that over two hundred and twenty-six million naira was collected as ransom from multiple abductions.

Other suspects paraded include Mamman Haruna and Aliyu Lawali, who detailed involvement in massive cattle rustling and armed attacks alongside notorious kingpins. 

Similarly, the CPG also apprehended a bandit doctor, Ibrahim Mafindi Titus, who treated wounded insurgents with medical supplies sourced internationally, alongside an array of informants, logistics suppliers, drug merchants, and an impersonator named Mustapha Muhammed who reportedly extorted money from the relative of a detainee outside the CPG headquarters.
